LATE EVENING REPORTS FROM SHERBURN AND MANKATO IN SOUTH CENTRAL MINNESOTA INDICATED ABOUT AN INCH HAD FALLEN UP TO THEN...RADAR ESTIMATED SNOW FALL TOTALS SHOW 1 TO 3 INCHES HAS FALLEN ACROSS MUCH OF THE SOUTHWEST HALF OF MINNESOTA...SO FAR THIS MORNING...ANYWHERE ALONG AND WEST OF A LINE FROM OUT AROUND BENSON IN THE WEST CENTRAL OVER TO WILLMAR...GAYLORD AND ST PETER IN THE CENTRAL TO LE SUEUR... OWATONNA...AND ALBERT IN THE SOUTH CENTRAL. THE LEADING EDGE HAS MOVED ROUGHLY TO I-94 FROM FARGO MOOREHEAD TO ALEXANDRIA...ST CLOUD AND THE TWIN CITIES...THEN TO THE MISSISSIPPI RIVER FROM THE TWIN CITIES DOWN TO CROSSE WISCONSIN. THE TRAILING EDGE IS IN EASTERN SOUTH DAKOTA NEAR BROOKINGS AND SIOUX FALLS.
