MOST OF THIS ACTIVITY WILL MOVE TOWARD THE NORTH AND NORTHEAST AT SPEEDS LESS THAN 10 MPH. TODAYS STRONGER STORMS WILL PRODUCE WIND GUSTS UP TO 50 MPH...SMALL HAIL...HEAVY RAIN AT RATES UP TO 1 INCH PER HOUR AND FREQUENT CLOUD TO GROUND LIGHTNING. STORMS WITH THE HEAVIEST RAIN WILL FAVOR THE SOUTHWEST MOUNTAINS AND LOWER RIO GRANDE VALLEY. IN THESE AREAS...HEAVY RAIN MAY CAUSE RAPID WATER RISES IN ARROYOS AND LOW WATER CROSSINGS. THROUGH 1 PM MDT...MOST SHOWERS AND STORMS WILL FAVOR THE MOUNTAINS OF CATRON AND WESTERN SOCORRO COUNTIES...WITH MORE ISOLATED ACTIVITY IN THE MOUNTAINS OF CIBOLA AND MCKINLEY COUNTIES.
