.NOW...WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 PM EST WEDNESDAY... LIGHT TO OCASSIONALLY MODERATE SNOW WILL CONTINUE ACROSS THE POTOMAC HIGHLANDS...SHENANDOAH VALLEY...AND ADJACENT VIRGINIA FOOTHILLS. SNOW AMOUNTS OF 1 TO 3 INCHES HAVE OCCURRED ACROSS THE AREA THIS AFTERNOON...AND ADDITIONAL AMOUNTS OF 1 TO 2 INCHES ARE EXPECTED BY 900 PM EST. VISIBILITY AT TIMES THIS EVENING WILL BE REDUCED TO UNDER ONE HALF MILE...PARTICULARLY IN AREAS OF MODERATE SNOW. WINDS WILL GENERALLY BE CALM...EXCEPT OVER THE HIGHER ELEVATIONS WHERE SOUTHEAST WINDS OF 10 TO 20 MPH...WITH GUSTS TO 30 MPH CAN BE EXPECTED. TEMPERATURES WILL REMAIN IN THE 20S THIS EVENING.
