OVER EAST CENTRAL MAINE LATE MONDAY MORNING INTO MONDAY NIGHT...

.LOW PRESSURE FROM THE MID ATLANTIC STATES WILL INTENSIFY MONDAY AS
IT MOVES EAST...NORTHEAST INTO SOUTHERN THE GULF OF MAINE BY
MONDAY EVENING AND THEN ALONG THE SOUTH NOVA SCOTIA COAST LATE
MONDAY NIGHT. THIS WILL SPREAD ANOTHER ROUND OF MODERATE TO HEAVY
SNOWFALL TO EAST CENTRAL AND ESPECIALLY DOWNEAST MAINE BEGINNING
LATE MONDAY MORNING AND CONTINUING WELL INTO THE NIGHT. SNOWFALL
WILL BE HEAVIEST AND WINDS STRONGEST ALONG THE DOWNEAST COAST.

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN CARIBOU HAS ISSUED A WINTER STORM
WARNING FOR HEAVY SNOW...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 10 AM MONDAY TO
4 AM EST TUESDAY. THIS UPGRADES THE PRIOR WINTER STORM WATCH.

* LOCATIONS...WASHINGTON COUNTY... SOUTHERN PENOBSCOT COUNTY AND 
HANCOCK COUNTY.

* HAZARD TYPES...HEAVY SNOW. SIGNIFICANT BLOWING AND DRIFTING 
SNOW.

* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...SNOW ACCUMULATION OF 10 TO 15 INCHES.

* TIMING...LATE MONDAY MORNING THROUGH MONDAY NIGHT.

* IMPACTS...SNOW...POSSIBLY HEAVY AT TIMES...MAY RESULT IN 
HAZARDOUS TRAVEL CONDITIONS. BLOWING SNOW MAY RESULT IN POOR 
VISIBILITY.

* WINDS...NORTH 15 TO 25 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 40 MPH.

* TEMPERATURES...ZERO TO 10 ABOVE ZERO...ALONG WITH BITTER WIND
