...LARGE SURF EXPECTED NORTH BAY COAST FRIDAY AND SATURDAY...

.LARGE NORTHWEST SWELL WILL IMPACT THE COAST OVERNIGHT THROUGH
SATURDAY AFTERNOON. THE LARGE SWELL WILL GRADUALLY DECAY SATURDAY
AFTERNOON INTO SATURDAY NIGHT. LARGE SURF COMBINED WITH
INCREASING HIGH TIDE MAY RESULT IN SOME MINOR COASTAL FLOODING
SATURDAY MORNING. LOCATIONS OF CONCERN WILL BE ALONG THE
IMMEDIATE COAST INCLUDING SLOUGHS AND COASTAL MARSHES. KING TIDE
WILL BEGIN TO OCCUR ON SUNDAY LASTING THROUGH TUESDAY. THESE HIGH
SEASONAL TIDES WILL SPREAD THE COASTAL FLOODING CONCERN INTO BAY
FRONT AREAS IN THE SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA.

THE IMMEDIATE COAST INCLUDING COASTAL MARSHES AND SLOUGHS. 

* WAVES AND SURF...NORTHWEST SWELL OF 15 TO 18 FEET WITH A 
PERIOD OF 18 SECONDS. OCCASIONAL BREAKERS OVER 25 FEET WILL BE 
POSSIBLE. 

* TIMING...FRIDAY EVENING THROUGH SATURDAY AFTERNOON.

* IMPACTS...LARGE BREAKING WAVES ALONG THE COAST WILL LIKELY 
PRODUCE HAZARDOUS CONDITIONS ON THE BEACH AND SURF ZONE... 
ESPECIALLY NORTHWEST FACING BEACHES. THERE WILL ALSO BE AN 
INCREASED LIKELIHOOD FOR DANGEROUS RIP CURRENTS AND BEACH 
EROSION. 

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

IT IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS TO FISH OR OBSERVE WAVES FROM EXPOSED
COASTAL STRUCTURES OR ROCKS DURING HIGH SURF CONDITIONS. VERY
LARGE WAVES CAN SUDDENLY SWEEP ACROSS PREVIOUSLY DRY AREAS.
SWIMMING OR SURFING IN THESE WAVES MAY BE DANGEROUS FOR ANYONE.

A HIGH SURF ADVISORY MEANS THAT HIGH SURF WILL AFFECT BEACHES IN
THE ADVISORY AREA...PRODUCING RIP CURRENTS AND LOCALIZED BEACH
EROSION.

A COASTAL FLOOD ADVISORY INDICATES THAT ONSHORE WINDS AND TIDES
WILL COMBINE TO GENERATE FLOODING OF LOW AREAS ALONG THE SHORE.
