WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON...

.A SLOW MOVING FRONTAL BOUNDARY WILL MOVE INTO THE AREA LATER
TONIGHT...AND THEN STALL OUT ALONG OR JUST NORTH OF INTERSTATE
44 FROM TUESDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY. THIS FRONT WILL INTERACT WITH
A TROPICAL AIRMASS TO PRODUCE PERIODS OF HEAVY RAIN THROUGH AT
LEAST WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON ACROSS THE AREA.

RAINFALL AMOUNTS BETWEEN TWO AND FOUR INCHES ARE EXPECTED ACROSS
THE WATCH AREA...WITH LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS POSSIBLE. THE
HEAVIEST RAINFALL IS CURRENTLY EXPECTED ACROSS NORTHWESTERN
PORTIONS OF THE WATCH AREA...OR ALONG AND NORTHWEST OF A LINE
FROM JOPLIN TO LAKE OF THE OZARKS.

SOILS ARE ALREADY SATURATED ACROSS THE REGION...AND MANY CREEKS...
STREAMS AND RIVERS ARE ALREADY RUNNING ABOVE NORMAL. THIS
ADDITIONAL RAINFALL IS EXPECTED TO LEAD TO FLOODING OF STREAMS
AND RIVERS IN SOME AREAS...ALONG WITH THE FLOODING OF MANY LOW
