.NOW...SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS WILL CONTINUE TO DEVELOP ALONG THE SPINE OF THE SANGRE CRISTO MOUNTAINS AND THE WET MOUNTAINS THROUGH 145 PM...AND DRIFT OFF INTO THE ADJACENT PLAINS. AS OF 1245 PM...THE STRONGEST STORM WAS AROUND 5 MILES SOUTH OF RYE. MOVEMENT OF THESE STORMS WAS TO THE EAST AT 15 TO 20 MPH. IF YOU ARE IN THE PATH OF THESE THUNDERSTORMS...EXPECT SMALL HAIL UP TO 1/2 INCH IN DIAMETER...LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL...WIND GUSTS UP TO 40 MPH AND DANGEROUS CLOUD TO GROUND LIGHTNING. HOWEVER THESE STORMS COULD CONTINUE TO INTENSIFY AND BECOME SEVERE LATER THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING. IF YOU ARE IN THE PATH OF THESE STORMS...TAKE SHELTER FROM THE LIGHTNING IMMEDIATELY IN EITHER A SUBSTANTIAL BUILDING OR A VEHICLE.
