.NOW...THROUGH 5 AM CDT...SHOWERS ALONG WITH OCCASIONAL THUNDERSTORMS WILL COVER A LARGE PORTION OF THE TEXAS PANHANDLE. ONE LARGE AREA OF SHOWERS STRETCHES JUST TO THE SOUTHEAST OF HIGHWAY 60 IN THE EASTERN TEXAS PANHANDLE. THE SHOWERS MAY AFFECT AREAS NEAR THE COMMUNITIES OF PAMPA...MIAMI...AND CANADIAN. ANOTHER AREA OF SHOWERS AND ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS STRETCHES FROM GLENRIO NORTHEAST TO GRUVER IN THE TEXAS PANHANDLE. MOST RAIN AMOUNTS ARE EXPECTED TO BE UNDER ONE HALF INCH. INTENSE THUNDERSTORMS ARE LOCATED NEAR INTERSTATE 40 BETWEEN GLENRIO AND ADRIAN. FREQUENT CLOUD TO GROUND LIGHTNING AND INTENSE RAINFALL ARE INDICATED AND RAIN AMOUNTS MAY BE HIGHER THESE AREAS. ANOTHER INTENSE THUNDERSTORMS ARE LOCATED BETWEEN GRUVER AND PERRYTON NEAR HIGHWAY 15. PERSONS TRAVELING IN THESE AREAS SHOULD BE ESPECIALLY ALERT FOR PONDED WATER ON HIGHWAYS.
