THE STRONGEST AREAS OF THUNDERSTORMS ARE OVER DEAF SMITH AND ARMSTRONG COUNTIES. FREQUENT LIGHTNING WILL ACCOMPANY THESE STORMS AND RAINFALL AMOUNTS MAY REACH AN INCH IN AND AROUND THESE HEAVIER STORMS. COMMUNITIES AFFECTED BY THESE HEAVIER STORMS WILL BE SIMMS...VEGA...GOODNIGHT...AND GROOM. ELSEWHERE...MOST OF THE RAIN ACTIVITY THROUGH 2 AM WILL AFFECT THE INTERSTATE 40 CORRIDOR. MOTORISTS ARE URGED TO USE CAUTION AND BE PREPARED FOR SIGNIFICANT PONDING OF WATER ON ROADWAYS.
