.NOW...THROUGH 1100 PM...ISOLATED LIGHT SHOWERS WILL MOVE TOWARDS THE WEST NORTHWEST AT NEAR 35 KNOTS OVER THE ATLANTIC WATERS WITHIN 20 OF THE MIDDLE AND LOWER KEYS. A FEW OF THESE SHOWERS MAY CROSS THE LOWER KEYS FROM BIG COPPITT TO KEY WEST. RESIDENTS IN THE PATH OF THESE SHOWERS WILL EXPERIENCE VERY BRIEF PERIODS OF LIGHT TO MODERATE RAIN. IN THE OUTER FLORIDA STRAITS...AN AREA OF RAIN WITH EMBEDDED HEAVIER SHOWERS WILL CONTINUE MOVING TOWARDS THE WEST AT NEAR 30 KNOTS. THIS AREA EXTENDS ALONG A LINE STRETCHING FROM ABOUT 30 SOUTH OF LOOE KEY LIGHT TO THE DRY TORTUGAS...AND TO THE NORTHWEST OF THE DRY TORTUGAS. MARINERS CAN EXPECT MODERATE TO HEAVY RAINFALL WITH VISIBILITY REDUCED BELOW 3 IN THE HEAVIER SHOWERS...AS WELL AS FREQUENT WIND GUSTS APPROACHING 40 KNOTS.
