.NOW...A LARGE AREA OF RAIN AND EMBEDDED THUNDERSTORMS...LOCATED OVER SOUTHWEST ILLINOIS...WILL CONTINUE TO MOVE EASTWARD ACROSS SOUTHWEST ILLINOIS AND BEGIN TO AFFECT PORTIONS OF SOUTHEAST ILLINOIS. MOST OF THE RAIN SHOWERS WERE PRODUCING ONLY LIGHT RAIN...HOWEVER SOME OF THE SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS COULD PRODUCE OCCASIONAL MODERATE RAINFALL. IN ADDITION...SCATTERED LIGHT RAIN SHOWERS OVER SOUTHEAST MISSOURI WILL MOVE INTO THE AREA OVER THE NEXT HOUR. MOST OF THIS ACTIVITY WAS LIGHT AND EVEN DISSIPATING SOMEWHAT AS IT MOVED EASTWARD TOWARD THE MISSISSIPPI RIVER.
