.NOW...A LARGE AREA OF RAIN AND SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS WILL CONTINUE TO MOVE ACROSS SOUTHERN ILLINOIS...SOUTHWEST INDIANA AND A SMALL PART OF SOUTHEAST MISSOURI THIS MORNING. MOST OF THE ACTIVITY WILL BE NORTH OF A LINE FROM MARBLE HILL MISSOURI TO VIENNA ILLINOIS TO CALHOUN KENTUCKY. MOVEMENT OF THE ACTIVITY WILL BE EAST SOUTHEAST AT 35 MPH. SOME OF THE STRONGER THUNDERSTORMS WILL PRODUCE VERY HEAVY RAINFALL AND FREQUENT LIGHTNING. RAINFALL AMOUNTS WILL GENERALLY BE ABOUT A TENTH TO A QUARTER INCH PER HOUR...BUT UP TO THREE QUARTERS OF AN INCH AN HOUR WITH THE HEAVIER SHOWERS AND STORMS.
