.NOW...THROUGH 5 PM THIS EVENING...LIGHT SHOWERS WITH AN OCCASIONAL CLAP OF THUNDER...WILL CONTINUE TO MOVE EASTWARD ACROSS PORTIONS OF SOUTHEAST MISSOURI...EXTREME SOUTHERN ILLINOIS AND PORTIONS OF WESTERN KENTUCKY. MOST OF THE THUNDERSTORM ACTIVITY WILL OCCUR IN COUNTIES ALONG THE MISSISSIPPI RIVER SOUTH OF ANNA ILLINOIS...AND ACROSS THE PURCHASE AREA OF KENTUCKY. HOURLY RAINFALL TOTALS WILL BE A FEW HUNDREDTHS OF AN INCH IN THE SHOWERS...WITH HIGHER AMOUNTS EXPECTED IN COMMUNITIES WHERE STORMS MAY OCCUR.
