.NOW...THROUGH SUNRISE SCATTERED RAIN SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL CONTINUE IN THE VICINITY OF THE CENTRAL MOUNTAIN CHAIN...RIO GRANDE VALLEY AND NORTHWEST MOUNTAINS. MOST OF THE ACTIVITY WILL MOVE TOWARD THE NORTH AND NORTHWEST AT SPEEDS AROUND 30 MPH. CLOUD TO GROUND LIGHTNING IS LIKELY FROM THESE STORMS. A FEW OF THE STRONGER THUNDERSTORMS WILL PRODUCE SMALL HAIL...WIND GUSTS UP TO 50 MPH AND RAIN AT RATES AROUND THREE QUARTERS OF AN INCH PER HOUR. RAIN AT THESE RATES COULD CAUSE PROBLEMS IF IT DEVELOPS OVER THE TRIGO FIRE BURN SCAR...WHERE A FLASH FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH TODAY. MEANWHILE...EAST WINDS MAY BECOME STRONG AT TIMES BELOW CANYONS OPENING INTO THE RIO GRANDE VALLEY. SPEEDS COULD REACH 20 TO 30 MPH WITH GUSTS AROUND 40 MPH.
