NOW...THROUGH MID MORNING...SCATTERED RAIN SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL CONTINUE IN THE VICINITY OF THE CENTRAL MOUNTAIN CHAIN...RIO GRANDE VALLEY AND NORTHWEST MOUNTAINS. MOST OF THE ACTIVITY WILL MOVE TOWARD THE NORTH AND NORTHWEST AT SPEEDS AROUND 30 MPH. CLOUD TO GROUND LIGHTNING IS POSSIBLE FROM THESE STORMS. A FEW OF THE STRONGER THUNDERSTORMS WILL PRODUCE SMALL HAIL...WIND GUSTS UP TO 40 MPH AND RAIN AT RATES UP TO THREE QUARTERS OF AN INCH PER HOUR. BEWARE OF FLOWING WATER IN SMALL STREAMS AND NORMALLY DRY ARROYOS...ESPECIALLY IN CENTRAL SOCORRO COUNTY WHERE SOME LOCATIONS RECEIVED UP TO 1 INCH OF RAIN OVERNIGHT. THROUGH 1000 AM...SHOWERS WILL INCREASE OVER THE TRIGO FIRE BURN SCAR. SINCE MUCH OF THE VEGETATION IS GONE... RUNOFF COULD DEVELOP AND REACH DANGEROUS LEVELS QUICKLY ALONG STATE ROUTE 55 IN THE VICINITY OF MANZANO AND TORREON.
