.NOW...SCATTERED LIGHT RAIN AND SNOW SHOWERS WILL CONTINUE TO CROSS WESTERN NEW YORK FROM WEST TO EAST THIS MORNING. THE BULK OF ACTIVITY AT 1230 PM WAS FOUND ACROSS SOUTHERN ERIE AND THE SOUTHERN TIER...MAINLY NORTH OF INTERSTATE 86. LIGHT DRIZZLE AND LIGHT SNOW SHOWERS WERE FOUND ELSEWHERE. PRECIPITATION WILL CONTINUE AS PLAIN RAIN CLOSER TO LAKE ERIE...BUT THROUGH HIGHER TERRAIN SNOW POSSIBLY MIXED WITH SOME RAIN WILL CONTINUE THROUGH THE AFTERNOON. ADDITIONAL SNOW THIS AFTERNOON FROM 1230 PM TO 4 PM WILL BE AROUND AN INCH OR LESS FOR HIGHER TERRAIN AREAS. SURFACE TEMPERATURES THIS AFTERNOON WILL RANGE FROM THE LOWER 30S ACROSS THE HIGHER TERRAIN TO NEAR 40 IN VICINITIES ALONG THE LAKE ERIE SHORELINE. DRIVERS SHOULD BE PREPARED FOR SLICK SPOTS ON THE WET ROADS...AND LOWER VISIBILITIES CAUSED BY FALLING PRECIPITATION AND OR LOW CLOUDS AND FOG. VISIBILITIES WILL ESPECIALLY BE POOR IN AREAS ACROSS THE SOUTHERN TIER...AND BOSTON HILLS OF SOUTHERN ERIE AND THE HILLS OF SOUTHERN WYOMING COUNTY.
