REGIONAL WEATHER DISCUSSION...EARLY THIS MORNING...SEVERAL WEATHER FEATURES ARE PRESENT ACROSS THE SOUTHERN PLAINS. A COLD FRONT STRETCHES FROM EASTERN NEW MEXICO... NORTHEASTWARD THROUGH A POINT NEAR THE NORTHWESTERN CORNER OF THE MAIN BODY OF OKLAHOMA... AND ONWARD INTO CENTRAL KANSAS. A MILD AND HUMID AIRMASS IS PRESENT AHEAD OF THE FRONT. MEANWHILE... THE CENTER OF AN UPPER LEVEL STORM SYSTEM IS MOVING THROUGH EAST TEXAS TOWARD ARKANSAS AND FAR SOUTHEAST OKLAHOMA. THUNDERSTORMS HAVE DEVELOPED AHEAD OF THE COLD FRONT OVER NORTHWEST OKLAHOMA IN AN AREA OF ELEVATED INSTABILITY. THESE STORMS...EXPECTED TO AFFECT AREAS FROM ARNETT AND WOODWARD...NORTHEAST TO BUFFALO... WAYNOKA... ALVA AND CHEROKEE...WILL PRODUCE SOME BRIEF HEAVY RAIN AND POSSIBLY SOME SMALL HAIL. FOG IS IN PLACE ACROSS MUCH OF WEST CENTRAL OKLAHOMA THIS MORNING IN AN AREA OF MOSTLY CLEAR SKIES AND LIGHT WINDS. THOUGH VISIBILITY HAS IMPROVED TO BETWEEN ONE AND THREE MILES AT 5 AM... FURTHER VISIBILITY RESTRICTIONS TO ONE QUARTER MILE OR LESS WILL BE POSSIBLE IN THE CLINTON...WEATHERFORD...AND HOBART AREAS...AS WELL AS A LARGE PORTION OF INTERSTATE 40 THROUGH WESTERN OKLAHOMA.
