NOW...THROUGH 1 AM...AREAS OF LIGHT TO MODERATE RAINFALL WILL SPREAD NORTHEAST FROM THUNDERSTORMS THAT ARE MOVING EAST ACROSS DEEP SOUTH TEXAS. THIS RAIN WILL MAINLY AFFECT AREAS SOUTH OF A ROCKPORT TO FREER LINE. AN OCCASIONAL LIGHTNING STRIKE MAY ALSO OCCUR WITH THIS ACTIVITY FROM ALICE TO CORPUS CHRISTI AND SOUTH. RAINFALL AMOUNTS WILL GENERALLY BE LESS THAN 1/10 INCH WITH THIS RAINFALL. IN ADDITION...THE WEAKENING LINE OF THUNDERSTORMS ACROSS DEEP SOUTH TEXAS HAS CAUSED A SMALL SCALE SURFACE LOW ACROSS THE RIO GRANDE VALLEY. THIS LOW HAS CAUSE WIND GUSTS OF 38 MPH OUT OF THE SOUTHEAST IN THE ALICE AREA AND THESE STRONG SOUTH TO SOUTHEAST WIND GUSTS MAY SPREAD TO THE COASTAL BEND AND OFFSHORE WATERS AS THE LOW FOLLOWS IN THE WAKE OF THE WEAKENING THUNDERSTORMS.
