Hydrograph for Neosho River near Chanute
36' - Building on the extreme east side of Chanute may take on water up to 7 feet.
35' - Highway 39 east of Chanute near the river bridge floods to a depth of about 1 foot and 3/4 of a mile long. Grady Road along the river which is northeast of Chanute floods. Considerable flooding occurs across old Highway 169.
31' - A few isolated dwellings in the eastern outskirts of Chanute are subject to flooding.
30' - Flood waters flow across old Highway 169 at half mile south of the gage site or 2 miles north of Chanute.
28.5' - Flood waters may flow across old Highway 169 north of Chanute. Agricultural flooding will also occur.
25.5' - Flooding occurs along 800 Street from Patrolia down to Chanute. Also 3/4 of a mile east of Chanute, Dump Road floods.
23' - The right bank overflows and agricultural flooding can be expected.
