White River near Augusta

41' - U.S. Highway 64 in White County, State Highway 367 in White County, and State Highway 33 in Woodruff County will either flood or have water lapping on the shoulders. State Highway 262 in Woodruff County is impassible. Flood of record is 41 feet in April 1945, second highest crest is 40.8 feet in May 2011.

39' - Serious problems in White and Woodruff counties. State Highway 33 north of Augusta flooded. Taylor Bay homes and trailors flooded. Water along U.S. Highway 64 as far west as Worden. Many homes and camps flooded along the river near Taylor Bay in Woodruff County and across the river in White County. Crest history is 38.4 feet in March 2008, 38.3 feet in December 1982, and 37.8 feet in April 2008.

38' - Very serious flooding problems. Water covers a large expanse of the floodplain. Portions of Augusta, Bradford and Russell flood. Homes and camps along the river near Taylor Bay in Woodruff County and across the river in White County will be cut off by high water. Cypress Bayou will back over State Highway 33 north of Augusta. Portions of State Highway 262 begin to flood and levees south of Augusta towards McClelland should be monitored. County road closures will be numerous in White and Woodruff counties.

36' - Major flood level begins. Areas along Taylor Bay flooded. Some homes flooded at this level.

35' - Flood waters are rising towards lower lying sections of Augusta, Bradford, and Russell. Homes and camps along U.S. Highway 64 and along Taylor Bay are flooded or isolated. Farm and county roads are flooded in White and Woodruff counties.

34' - Water around or approaching homes and camps along the river in White and Woodruff counties. Farm roads and county roads on both sides of the river are flooded.

32' - Thousands of acres of cropland and farm roads are flooded in White and Woodruff counties. Water is isolating homes and camps along the river in White and Woodruff counties.

30' - Thousands of acres of farm ground flooded. County roads on both sides of the river are flooded, including County Road 871 and 899.

28' - Roads in Henry Gray Hurricane Lake Wildlife Management area flooded. Thousands of acres of cultivated land flooded in White and Woodruff counties.

26' - Farm ground along the river in White and Woodruff counties begin to flood. Seasonal agricultural impacts.
