Highway 39 east of Chanute near the river bridge floods to a depth of about 1 foot and 3/4 of a mile long. Grady Road along the river which is northeast of Chanute floods. Considerable flooding occurs across old Highway 169.

A few isolated dwellings in the eastern outskirts of Chanute are subject to flooding.

Flood waters flow across old Highway 169 at half mile south of the gage site or 2 miles north of Chanute.
