28' - Catastrophic flooding of all areas along Contentnea Creek in Greene and Lenoir counties. Numerous residences completely submerged. The Green Street bridge in Snow Hill is flooded. Many homes on the north side of the creek from the Wilson County line downstream to the east of Hookerton are severely inundated. All roads in and around the creek are impassable. This is comparable to the flood after Hurricane Floyd.

26' - Devastating flooding for all areas near the creek. Flooding south of the creek downstream of Hookerton, and in northwest Greene County is dire. Many residences entirely underwater. Highway 123 is flooded in numerous spots around Hookerton. In Snow Hill, homes are inundated along Beaman Old Creek Road, and along HWY 91 near Greene Central High. Most roads north of the creek are underwater with numerous homes flooded.

24' - Numerous homes and roads on the north side of the creek are inundated especially along Four Way Road and Ormondsville Road. In Snow Hill, properties along Mill Street are flooded. Homes along Beaman Old Creek Road are inundated, and water surrounds homes on NC 91 near Greene Central High. Many homes in parts of northwest Greene County near Highway 58 are inundated.

20' - Low areas on the south side of Snow Hill are inundated. Several homes on the north side of the creek from Snow Hill to Hookerton are flooded. Widespread flooding of properties near Highway 58 in northwest Greene County. A few residences may be inundated.

18' - Highway 123 just north of the bridge in Hookerton floods. Water threatens homes on Loop Road and Four Way Road between Snow Hill and Hookerton, as well as further upstream in northwest Greene County.

16' - Water threatens properties on Loop Road north of Hookerton. In northwest Greene County, water surrounds several homes, and HWY 58 is likely impassable heading into Wilson County.

13' - Minor flooding of low lying areas adjacent to creek can be expected. Several homes threatened by water in northwest Greene County near HWY 58.
