20' - Possible voluntary evacuations of the area with flooding of homes. Significant flooding over Dyea Road from the bridge towards McDermott Road and over the Dyea Flats Road. There will be damage to the Dyea Historic Townsite from bank erosion and to the NPS Campground from flooding.
19' - Dyea Flats Road will flood to depths of a half foot to 1 foot. The Dyea Road from the bridge to McDermott Road will flood to depths greater than 0.5 feet and some homes will be surrounded by flood waters greater than 2 feet. The National Park Service Dyea Campground will remain closed from significant flooding.
18.5' - Flood waters will continue to inundate Dyea Road from the bridge towards McDermott Road with some homes along Dyea Road surrounded by 1 to 2 feet of water. The National Park Service Dyea Campground will remain closed from flooding.
18' - The National Park Service will close the Dyea Campground due to flooding as it becomes impassable. Flood waters will begin to inundate Dyea Road along with residents' yards from the bridge towards McDermott Road.
17.5' - The National Park Service may close the Chilkoot Trail due to flooding impacts associated with high water along the lower portions of the trail.
17' - The National Park Service advises against boating and other recreational water-based activities on the Taiya River. Trail orientation and navigation begins to become difficult and may hinder route-finding for several hundred feet. Water will be knee deep or higher in places along the lower portions of the trail.
