30' - At a tailwater stage of 30 feet at Remmel Dam, the flow rate is approximately 100000 cfs. Serious flooding in Hot Spring and Clark counties. Road closures and flooded pastures. Some homes in the Donaldson and Friendship communities may be flooded. With heavy rainfall downstream of Remmel Dam, major flooding at Arkadelphia is possible.
26.6' - Flow rate is now near 80000 cfs. Situation becoming very seriouis with possible road closures and homes flooding in vicinity of Donaldson in Hot Spring County. NWS issues another flood warning for Hot Spring County whenever flow rate exceeds this level and again at 90000, 100000, and every other increase of 10000 cfs. Discharge from Remmel Dam exceeded 82000 cfs in April and September 2008. Ouachita River at Arkadelphia may exceed 25 feet if releases of 80000 cfs persist for several hours.
24.7' - At this stage the Remmel Dam Tailwater will produce a stage at the Rockport Bridge of approximately 23 feet. Flow rate is near 70000 cfs. Whenever flows from Remmel Dam reach this level, another flood warning is issued for Hot Spring County. Some homes near Donaldson may be affected. Road closures possible with locally heavy rainfall. Moderate river flooding at Arkadelphia possible.
22' - This level at the Remmel Dam Tailwater will produce a stage at the Rockport Bridge of approximately 22 feet. Flow rate is over 62000 cfs. Some roads may be impacted when locally heavy rainfall occurs at the same time. Also, expect minor river flooding at Arkadelphia with a release of this magnitude.
20.6' - If there is locally heavy rainfall in Hot Spring County during river levels this high, some lower lying roads may be effected. This is approximately equal to a 21 foot stage at Rockport Bridge. Flow rate is approximately 50000 cfs. Nws issues a second flood warning for Hot Spring County whenever flow rate exceeds this level. Expect minor river flooding at Arkadelphia if the releases persist for several hours.
17' - Water level will be approximately equal to a stage of 19 feet at Rockport Bridge. Flow rate is approximately 38000 cfs. Pastures along the river in Hot Spring County are flooding. Livestock should be moved to higher ground.
15.5' - Flood warning issued at 30000 cfs, approximately a 15.5 foot stage. Flood warning will be issued by the NWS for Hot Spring County. Some low lying fields downstream of Rockport Bridge will be flooding. When combined with locally heavy rainfall, the impacts are more extensive.
11.4' - Flow rate of approximately 15000 cubic feet per second. High water notification begins. Minor impacts at this level such as low lying pastures flooding. No notification from NWS necessary, Entergy provides notification to Hot Spring County. No flood warning issued at this level.
