34' - A Record Flood is in progress. Apartment complex just south of SR 163 begins to flood. Much of southeast and northeast Clinton under 2 to 4 feet of water. Water is within 3 feet of bottom of SR 163 bridge.
32' - Near record flood in progress. East edge of Clinton begins to flood. Southeast and northeast sections of Clinton under 2 to 4 feet of water. Evacuations are necessary in southeast Clinton. Flood water converging on low areas of northeast and southeast Clinton along North and South Main Street. Donnelly and other agricultural levees near gage site fail.
31' - During Jan. 2005 flood, water backed up Feather Creek flooding homes and a lift station. Six inches of water flowed over Lyford levee for over 8 hours. Serious flooding in progress. In April 2013, Feather Creek flooded by the Wabash River affecting 20 homes. Main Street north and south of Clinton was underwater. In April 2013 water overtopped the Lyford levee and may have caused damage. Flooding in Clinton worse than January 2005 even though the crest was the same. Crest upstream highest in 55 years.
30' - Major flooding in progress. Water is flowing over road and levee south of Clinton. Agricultural levees in northern Vigo County fail.
28.5' - On April 30, 2011 North Main Street just south of SR 63 closed when Norton Creek overflowed by backwater from the Wabash River. Extensive flooding in progress.
28' - Old SR 63 (North Main Street) begins to overflow. Top of agricultural levees in northern Vigo County is reached. Critical stage of agricultural levees near gaging site is reached. Evacuations may be necessary in rural areas just south of Clinton. Backwater flooding begins along Feather Creek in Clinton.
26.5' - Backwater from the Wabash River receded enough along Norton Creek to reopen North Main Street just south of SR 63.
24' - Critical stage is reached on agricultural levees in northern Vigo County. Extensive flooding of agricultural lands is in progress. Flooding of low residential property in southeast Clinton begins. Some high county roads are impassable. River Park at Clinton is completely flooded. Old SR 63 north of Clinton begins to flood.
23' - Extensive lowland flooding in progress. Much river water runs through the wastewater treatment plant at Clinton. Southeast side of Clinton begins to flood.
22' - Low areas of River Park at Clinton flood. Higher county roads and bottomlands begin to flood.
21' - Lowland flooding in progress. River water runs through the City of Clinton's wastewater treatment plant.
20' - Low bottomlands flood. Water begins to back up local tributaries. River road near Mecca is impassable. Higher county roads and bottomlands begin to flood.
18' - River road near Mecca and lowest areas of river park at Clinton begin to flood.
15' - Lowland flooding begins in local area.
