44.48' - Flood of record from Tropical Storm Lee in September 2011. Severe inundation of many townships and villages occurs along the river.
43.5' - Flood stage from Hurricane Agnes in 1972. Severe inundation of many townships and villages occurred along the river.
40' - Major flood stage. Many homes and roads on both sides of the river are flooded. This includes much of the Village of Meshoppen.
36.34' - This is the flood crest from the January 1996 rain and snow melt flood.
34' - Extensive flooding occurs in the Myo beach area. Flooding spreads downstream from Tunkhannock to the Falls area. About 100 homes are impacted with first floor flooding.
32' - Flooding reaches the intersection of Bridge Street and U.S. Route 6. At this stage, water also backs up along the Tunkhannock Creek and affects homes on the north bank of the creek extending along Harding Street and Business Route 6.
31' - Moderate flood stage. Cottages along the river bank from Laceyville to Black Walnut are affected. The ball fields in Meshoppen are flooded. Homes and cottages on the Mehoopany side, and on the waters edge near Tunkhannock are affected.
27' - Flood stage. Between 27 and 28 feet, flood waters close off the railroad underpasses at Myo Beach and Lott Road. Access to several homes in the Myo Beach area is cut off.
