This is the flood of record which was set in January 1937. The entire floodplain is inundated. Much of Highway 52 is flooded, and many low-lying residences and businesses must be evacuated. Nearly all of Augusta, Kentucky is under water, as well as Higginsport, Chilo, Foster and Neville in Ohio, with 10 feet or more of water in areas of these communities.

Flooding as deep as 8 to 10 feet occurs in Augusta, Higginsport, Chilo, Foster and Neville. A flood of this magnitude is beyond the FEMA 1 percent flood with the entire floodplain inundated.

The Villages of Moscow and Neville are completely flooded. Major backwater flooding into creeks and streams occurs over Clermont, Brown, Bracken and Pendleton Counties. Much of Route 52 is under water, and major inundation of homes and businesses occurs in Chilo, Foster, Neville, Augusta and Higginsport.

The floodplain is inundated with flood depths of several feet of water into the communities of Neville, Moscow, Higginsport, Augusta, Foster and Chilo. A flood of this level equates roughly to the FEMA 1 percent flood.

The Village of Neville becomes inaccessible and much of Moscow becomes flooded. Large amounts of property damage can be expected and evacuations of homes and businesses becomes widespread. Route 52 is flooded in long stretches.

The entire Village of Neville in Clermont County becomes flooded. Much of Route 52 is impassible for long stretches. Significant lowland and backwater flooding can be expected along the river.

Much of the Village of Neville floods, with evacuations of homes and businesses becoming necessary. Significant backwater flooding occurs along creeks and streams emptying into the Ohio River. Route 52 becomes flooded in many low areas.

The Village of Neville, Ohio begins to experience lowland flooding, while backwater flooding along creeks and streams results in lowland flooding along the river. Route 52 becomes cut off in southern Clermont County at Bear Creek and Maple Creek near Neville.

Route 52 and State Route 232 near Point Pleasant, Ohio are covered with water. Backwater flooding near the river worsens in Clermont, Brown, Bracken and Pendleton Counties.
