1987 - Hurricane Emily crossed the island of Bermuda during the early morning. Emily, moving northeast at 45 mph, produced wind gusts to 115 mph at Kindley Field. The thirty-five million dollars damage inflicted by Emily made it the worst hurricane to strike Bermuda since 1948. Parts of Michigan and Wisconsin experienced their first freeze of the autumn. Snow and sleet were reported in the Sheffield and Sutton areas of northeastern Vermont at midday.

Teigen is a former unincorporated community in western Petroleum County, Montana, United States, which stretched along Highway 200, approximately 12 miles west of the county seat, Winnett. Teigen's post office opened on November 24, 1914 and was closed on December 21, 1983; the vicinity still has a separate ZIP code of 59084, which is serviced from Winnett. Although Teigen still remains marked on many road atlases, including Google Maps, all that marks the existence of the town now is the abandoned hotel that Mons Teigen built in 1917 as well as a house and ranch buildings to the west of Teigen.
In 1884, Mons Teigen established a sheep ranch in the area with Knute and Ole Opheim; Teigen acquired sole ownership in 1897. The Milwaukee Land Company platted the Teigen townsite in 1914, and the post office opened the same year.
