1983 - Heavy rains began in central and eastern Arizona which culminated in the worst flood in the history of the state. Eight to ten inch rains across the area caused severe flooding in southeastern Arizona which resulted in thirteen deaths and 178 million dollars damage. President Reagan declared eight counties of Arizona to be disaster areas.

Tahuya is an unincorporated community in Mason County, Washington, United States. As of the 2020 census, the population of Belfair-Tahuya CCD was 9,439. It is located on the Hood Canal at the mouth of the Tahuya River. Tahuya, whose name comes from a Twana term meaning "that done", features a number of recreational areas. The ZIP Code for Tahuya is 98588.
