.DISCUSSION... Issued at 1200 AM CDT Sat Oct 11 2025

Upper troughing across the southeast gradually becomes a cutoff upper low through Sunday before ejecting northeast across the Mid- Atlantic states early in the week. This will continue to maintain northerly to northeasterly flow aloft over us and likewise keep cooler, drier air across the forecast area. By mid- week, flow shifts easterly as upper ridging begins building in from the southern Plains states helping to warm temperatures up and bring a slightly moister airmass back into the area. Despite the returning moisture, we remain dry at least through the end of the forecast period Thursday with no appreciable upper features to force showers or storms.

Expect afternoon highs to remain in the lower to middle 80`s for most locations through Monday, with middle to upper 80`s returning by mid week. Overnight lows will be cool in the lower to middle 50`s for most spots through Monday night before warming back to upper 50`s and lower 60`s Tuesday night through Thursday night. Rip currents will gradually taper across area beaches going from a High risk early this morning to a Moderate risk for the rest of today. A Low risk of rip currents prevails starting Sunday through the middle of the week. MM/25
