.DISCUSSION... Issued at 1242 AM CDT Mon Sep 15 2025
Dry and warm weather prevails throughout the entire forecast period with upper troughing across the eastern CONUS. Expect dry air to continue to linger with our area remaining on the backside of this feature. By the extreme end of the week and into next weekend, we should begin to see an slow and steady increase in moisture as the upper low breaks down and lifts off the Canadian Maritimes. Upper troughing will dig into the central US by early next weekend and we may finally see the return of some isolated showers and storms across the area; however, we will really be reaching for any appreciable rainfall. Afternoon highs will top out in the lower 90`s for most locations each day, with overnight lows cooling into the lower to middle 60`s. A few spots over the interior may see middle 90`s on any given afternoon. Overnight lows will probably slowly increase to more seasonable values in the mid to upper 60s by the end of the week with the return of moisture. A low risk of rip currents continues through the end of the week. BB-8
