.DISCUSSION... Issued at 1244 AM CDT Sun Sep 7 2025

If you`ve been hoping for a stretch of dry, pleasant weather, you`re in luck! Mother Nature seems to be in a generous mood for y`all. Today kicks off with temperatures in the lower to mid 80s, and while we will gradually warm into the lower to mid 90s by midweek, the air will remain relatively dry, making the heat much more bearable. Today`s forecast has trended drier, with only one outlier model hinting at a sprinkle or two across portions of deep east Texas. But the broader consensus is singing a dry tune: no precipitation expected across our area for the next seven days.

So whether you`re mowing the lawn, firing up the grill, or just trying to keep your AC bill under control, the weather should cooperate nicely. With manageable humidity and no rain in sight, it`s the kind of forecast that makes you want to say, "if you don`t like this weather...you must be indoors". Just remember, sunscreen is cheaper than aloe vera, and your pets don`t sweat like you do - so as temperatures warm in the middle of the week, keep everyone hydrated. All this to say, it`s shaping up to be a pleasant second week of September. /33/
