.DISCUSSION... (Tonight through next Tuesday)

WEATHER PATTERN OVERVIEW: Cool temperatures in the morning with coldest temperatures in the Ruby Valley and Clover Valley in the 30s before sunrise. Low temperatures for the rest of the region in the 40s to 50s with high temperatures today expected to warm up in the 80s across the region. High pressure continues to strengthen today, providing stable conditions today, however the system will be pushed east by Thursday afternoon as a low pressure system moves towards southern California, producing a southerly flow across Nevada. The low pressure will bring in cooler temperatures and 30% chance of showers across central Nevada by Thursday night. Friday, mostly cloudy conditions with a 40% chance of showers and 20% chance of thunderstorms in central Nevada, while northern Nevada sees a 20% chance of showers. For Saturday, greater confidence from the models with chances of showers and thunderstorms at 10-20% as drier air begins to move back in and pushes the moisture east. Sunday, mostly sunny as near zonal flow moves over the west. Gradual increase in temperatures expected in the beginning of next week, with highs reaching back into the 80s.

FORECAST CONFIDENCE & DEVIATIONS: No changes to the grids at this time. Greater confidence of Saturday POPs respectively showing the proper chances for showers.
