.UPDATE... Issued at 641 PM CDT Sun Oct 12 2025
Clear skies this evening with temperatures dropping into the upper 40s overnight. Fog returns late tonight into early Monday morning. Take extra caution on those Monday morning commutes as some patchy dense fog could be lingering around. Otherwise, another pleasant weather day is on tap to start your work week off.

.SHORT TERM... (Rest of today through Monday) Issued at 641 PM CDT Sun Oct 12 2025
It has been a beautiful Sunday so far, and will continue to be for the rest of the day. Highs today and tomorrow will essentially be the same: 70s with some places approaching or reaching the low 80s. Mornings will continue to be autumnal in nature, with temperatures in the mid 40s to low 50s. Winds will be light, as flow aloft continues to be the same.

.LONG TERM... (Monday Night through next Sunday) Issued at 641 PM CDT Sun Oct 12 2025
Into the work week, a high pressure system is going to be the dominant feature, leading to the increase in our temperatures. They will level off in the low 80s for highs by mid-week, with morning lows in the low to mid 50s. That high pressure will flatten into the weekend, leaving us vulnerable to a trough moving in from the west. This trough appears to be of decent strength in the extended guidance, but it is too soon to say whether we will see any hazardous weather because of it. Precipitation does seem possible on Saturday before the frontal passage, which will bring an end to our dry stretch. As always, we will continue to monitor model trends as we get closer to next weekend.

.AVIATION... (00Z TAFS) Issued at 641 PM CDT Sun Oct 12 2025
Areas of patchy fog will be possible overnight, mainly near bodies of water and along the Plateau. All terminals except for BNA have a tempo for IFR to MVFR fog between 10Z-13Z. Fog looks less likely at BNA at this time, but this can re-evaulated with the 06Z issuance. VFR beyond any fog concerns with passing high clouds Monday and northerly winds between 5 to 8 kts.
