.SYNOPSIS...
High pressure over northern New England will shift offshore
Saturday with the wedge pattern weakening over the area. A
stronger area of high pressure will build southward from Ontario
during the first half of next week maintaining the dry weather
pattern. A strong cold front is forecast to cross the area next
Saturday September 20th.

.SHORT TERM /THROUGH SUNDAY NIGHT/...
High pressure over northern New England will maintain a wedge
pattern into the area through early Saturday. Temperatures
tonight and Saturday will be a carbon copy of today.
High pressure will shift offshore Saturday afternoon while low
pressure offshore of the southeast coast drifts northward and
then northwestward. Sfc winds will shift to a light southerly
or southeasterly flow as a result.
On Monday, a stronger area of high pressure over central Ontario
will build southward into the Northeast and mid-Atlantic states
setting up a wedge pattern once again with slightly cooler
temperatures. No precipitation is expected through the first
half of next week.

.LONG TERM /MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY/...
Much of the region looks dry Monday and Tuesday as high pressure is
in control. A low pressure system could work its way up the East
Coast and spread a couple of showers inland Wednesday into Thursday.
Most of any precipitation looks light and isolated to widely
scattered and seems to want to be focused along I-95 and areas to
the south and east. Highs will be above average on Monday with
temperatures in the middle 80s. Increasing clouds and possible
precipitation arriving from the southeast Tuesday through Thursday
could bring our temperatures back down below average by a few
degrees.

Fair weather will prevail through early next week. Light NNE
winds today will turn from S or SE Saturday.
VFR conditions Monday through Tuesday night. Winds east to southeast
around 5 knots.

Light winds will prevail through early next week. SCA conditions
are not anticipated at this time.
No marine hazards Monday through Tuesday night. Winds light and
easterly through the period.

.TIDES/COASTAL FLOODING...
Light onshore flow will maintain elevated water levels causing
Action stages. Early next week, the onshore flow is expected to
strengthen which may result in minor coastal flooding.
