.DISCUSSION... (This afternoon through next Friday) Issued at 1053 AM CDT Sat Sep 27 2025

Surface high pressure remains over the Mid-South this morning. The high will continue to bring pleasant temperatures and dry conditions for the remainder of the weekend.

An upper ridge will begin to build to the north and west of the region by late in the weekend into early next week. Overall this will lead to temperatures climbing into the mid to upper 80s with dry conditions continuing over the next seven days. The exception will be Monday into Wednesday where there is some weakening in the ridge over southeastern parts of the CWA. An increase in moisture will occurs from Tropical Depression 9 as it moves along the Southeastern coast line. Can`t rule out a few showers developing during the afternoon hours across Northeast Mississippi during peak heating hours. At this time, chances are not high enough to introduce into the forecast.
