- Dry and Warm through Friday
Overall dry conditions with highs in the upper 70s to low 80s and lows in the 40s to low 50s are expected through Friday. A weak front will move through Wednesday bringing with in increased cloud cover but dry air at the surface along with the weak forcing will prevent any precipitation from making it to the surface. Light southerly winds will shift to the east and northeast Thursday behind the front and be more variable on Friday.
- Slight Chances for Rain Saturday
Saturday we`ll be in between a ridge to the west and a trough to the northeast. The strength of either of these features will determine our rain chances over the weekend. Overall focus is more on Saturday for rain chances with solutions focusing on the morning or overnight period into early Sunday morning. Guidance is also hinting at some instability so can`t rule out a few rumbles of thunder. Overall the probability is low at this time for showers and thunderstorms with the probability of a hundredth or more of rain in the 20 to 30 percent range across the area.
Afterwards the dry weather continues through the remainder of the weekend with highs remaining in the upper 70s to low 80s and lows in the 50s.

.AVIATION /00Z TAFS THROUGH 00Z THURSDAY/... Issued at 735 PM EDT Tue Sep 9 2025
Predominately VFR conditions will persist over West MI through Wednesday. Generally light southerly breezes will continue through the TAF period. High level clouds will thicken and lower from west to east later tonight and Wednesday, thanks to a weak and slow moving upper wave over the western Great Lakes.
Have tentatively maintained some late night fog at JXN and perhaps LAN, similar to what occurred this morning -- though upper clouds may serve to hinder fog development.

.MARINE... Issued at 331 PM EDT Tue Sep 9 2025
Mariners can expect quiet weather over the nearshore waters of eastern Lake Michigan through Wednesday. South to southwesterly breezes of generally 10-20 kts will diminish early this evening, and then remain light southerly late tonight into Wednesday. A very weak pressure gradient across the region Wednesday may allow onshore lake breezes to develop by late afternoon, with winds and waves remaining on the light side.
