.SYNOPSIS...
High pressure and dry conditions will persist through much of the
week. There will be a gradual warming trend during this time.
&&
.NEAR TERM /UNTIL 6 PM THIS EVENING/...
A weak mid level trough will move into the mid Ohio Valley today.
With an overall lack of moisture, expect the main effect to be just
an increase in some mid and high level clouds. Temperatures will
continue to slowly moderate with highs today mainly in the lower 80s.

.SHORT TERM /6 PM THIS EVENING THROUGH 6 PM THURSDAY/...
The weak trough will progress slowly east across our area tonight
into Thursday, while surface high pressure remains in place across
the lower Great Lakes region. Again, mainly just expect some mid and
high level clouds at times through Thursday. Lows tonight will be in
the low to mid 50s with highs on Thursday in the low to mid 80s.

.LONG TERM /THURSDAY NIGHT THROUGH TUESDAY/...
In the wake of an upper trough`s passage, high pressure to the north
will extend southward into the Ohio Valley Friday. The high will
move east and return flow sets up Friday night. On Saturday, a
surface trough is expected to stretch eastward from the northern
Plains and linger in the local area as it moves slowly south through
Tuesday. The placement and timing of this trough remains in a state
of flux, possibly starting over lower MI Sat night and traversing
through the Ohio Valley a good bit quicker on Sunday night. Another
model shows a different beginning and evolution of the airmass
during early next week.
However it all works out, there could be a passing shower or two
beginning as early as late Saturday, ending as late as early Monday.
If any rain occurs during this time it will be brief, and
thunderstorms do not look to be favored if it comes to pass. Suffice
it to say, models are not resolving upper level features with regards
to each other beginning Sunday night. Attm, upper level low pressure
over the east coast and ridging in the midwest should keep northerly
flow in our area of concern. What small chances of rain exist are
being pegged to Saturday night per the NBM, and are not showing a
strong enough signal to be included in the potential weather type at
this forecast issuance time.
Highs in the 80s will be at their peak on Sunday with 85-90 expected
over the CWA. Lows in the 50s will also rise to near 60 Saturday
night and then fall to a few degrees on either side of 60 Sunday
night, warmest in the southwest. Then they will fall back into the
50s for next week.

.AVIATION /10Z WEDNESDAY THROUGH SUNDAY/...
A weak upper level trough will move east across the Ohio Valley
through tonight. This will lead to some mid and high level clouds at
times. Outside of some potential river valley fog possibly affecting
KLUK late tonight, VFR conditions are expected to prevail through
the TAF period.
