.DISCUSSION... Issued at 300 PM CDT Tue Sep 30 2025
Little to no change to the forecast since the last issuance. Forecast impacts are low through Friday, with only small chances of precip starting Saturday.
Satellite imagery shows most locations have been sunny this afternoon, with some high clouds drifting in from the west at times. Some afternoon cu has been trying to develop in central WI, but overall moisture and lift for this is limited.
Overnight, high clouds becoming more abundant and a steady light wind will keep temps in the 50s. This will also limit fog formation. Small hits at a few patches of fog possible in central Wisconsin, but that would be about all.
Similar weather continues for the next few days as large high pressure near Hudson Bay slow builds eastward. Main day-to-day change will be warming temperatures, with highs Friday and Saturday well into the 80s for many locations.
Precip: There are minor precip chances this weekend. The next main opportunity for rain comes late Sunday into Monday as a cold front comes through the state. Temperatures will also cool off by about 10 degrees.

.AVIATION...for 18Z TAF Issuance Issued at 1242 PM CDT Tue Sep 30 2025
VFR flight conditions are expected through the TAF period. Just starting to see a small amount of daytime cu developing in north- central WI as of 1730Z. Kept mention of this in the TAFs to FEW, as soundings appear relative dry. Meanwhile, some scattered high clouds will arrive from the west this afternoon and remain present overnight.
There remains a small signal for a couple hours of lower cigs and/or vsbys in central WI late night, but confidence in this occurring was too low to include in the TAFS.
Winds will generally be around 5-10 kts, from the east or southeast.
