.SYNOPSIS...
Dry weather with seasonable daytime temperatures are expected
through Thursday with cold overnight lows. Wet weather and
breezy winds look to return for the weekend.
&&
.DISCUSSION...
Today through Thursday: Dry northerly flow aloft will be in place
across the Inland Northwest today into Wednesday. Another round
of cold overnight temperatures is expected tonight with
widespread frost again likely. The frost advisory has been
expanded into the Wenatchee area for tonight.
By Thursday and Friday, a short wave trough will pass mainly
north of the area, but will still lead to a chance of showers
for the Cascade crest and Idaho Panhandle. A deeper and
stronger system is expected for the weekend. Increased chances
for widespread rain and high elevation snow are anticipated.
Washington Pass has the best chance for seeing appreciable snow,
but the other passes will also warrant watching over the coming
days. In addition, breezy/gusty southwest winds are also
expected with this system, likely peaking on Sunday. KD

.AVIATION...
00Z TAFS: Primarily VFR conditions with clouds gradually
breaking up over portions of the ID Panhandle and southeast
WA today. Some persistent cloudiness near KPUW/KLWS may
occasionally brush MVFR conditions. Generally light winds
expected through the 24hr TAF period.
FORECAST CONFIDENCE AND/OR ALTERNATE SCENARIOS: High confidence
in predominantly VFR conditions.
