- Quiet weather is expected over the upcoming week with
  temperatures expected to be a few degrees above normal.

.SHORT TERM... /NEW/
/Overnight through Sunday Night/
A broad upper trough will continue to slowly spin across the
Desert Southwest through Sunday with a tap into some east Pacific
moisture. This will help send some thicker high clouds into North
Texas later today which is already indicated by satellite imagery.
While we won`t see any precipitation, the cloud cover will be
thicker than the last few days and will likely help shave a degree
or two off of highs. Otherwise, a light easterly surface wind is
expected with high temps in the mid/upper 80s and lows in the
low/mid 60s for Sunday night.

/Monday through Saturday/
The slow moving upper trough will spread into the Southern Plains
early in the week with little impact to our weather other than a
continued stream of high clouds across the region. As this system
moves eastward, mid level ridging will build back into the Plains
keeping skies mostly clear with temperatures in the upper 80s to
near 90 degrees areawide. This pattern will continue through the
week and into early next weekend. Deeper southerly flow looks like
it will finally start to tap into some Gulf moisture just beyond
the current forecast period.

VFR will prevail through the period with a light east-southeast
flow generally less than 10 kt. An increase in high cloud cover is
expected later this morning through the day, but no significant
aviation concerns are expected.
