Freezing rain made roads treacherous in the Twin Cities area of southeastern Minnesota. Bitter cold arctic air invaded the Northern High Plains Region. Stuyvesant ( STY-və-sənt) is a town in Columbia County, New York, United States. The population was 1,931 at the 2020 census, down from 2,027 at the 2010 census. The town is in the northwest corner of Columbia County. U.S. Route 9 crosses the southeastern corner of the town.
