.DISCUSSION... Issued at 118 PM CDT Thu Oct 9 2025
Cooler and drier conditions will return by tomorrow as the area is sandwiched between a developing coastal low to our east and a strengthening ridge of high pressure to our west. Rather deep northwesterly to northerly flow will develop over the Deep South Friday and persist through early next week leading to rather dry air to filter down to the northern Gulf Coast. With that don`t expect much in the way of forecast issues outside of temperatures and lowered depends through the weekend and middle of next week. Highs will drop down into the 70s inland to around 80 near the coast on Saturday as a backdoor cold front moves through. From that point on, temperatures will steadily increase each day as the coastal low lifts into the North Atlantic and the large upper level high over Texas gradually builds eastward over the area. Given the drier air and subsidence over the area, expect dewpoints to remain in the 50s for most of the forecast period leading to rather comfortable fallish like conditions. Don`t worry, hints of real fall is lurking just around the corner. BB-8
