.KEY MESSAGES...
- Isolated rains with near to slightly above average temperatures
  through this weekend.
- Widely scattered to scattered rains with "cooler" temperatures
  possible next week.

.SHORT TERM (THROUGH FRIDAY)...
A seasonably moist airmass continues over our area for the remainder
of this week. Subsidence/capping and no features aloft to provide
forcing keep most areas rain free. However, heating and seabreeze
should be able to generate very isolated showers and thunderstorms
each afternoon into early evening. Temperatures remain within a few
degrees of mid September averages with most being slightly above
average.

.LONG TERM (FRIDAY NIGHT THROUGH WEDNESDAY)...
No change in the pattern this weekend with similar weather to the
remainder of this week. Models/ensembles appear to be converging on
a scenario for next week. While there remain timing/location
differences among them, a general pattern is emerging. A deepening
upper level low moves over the Central states with a favorable flow
to bring a cold front across our area. Chances of showers and
thunderstorms increase ahead of the front, peak with its passage,
then decrease in its wake. Currently, the highest POPs and
possibility of locally heavy rains are on Tuesday. Little or no
temperature change ahead of the front, then slightly "cooler" in its
wake.

.AVIATION (06Z THURSDAY THROUGH FRIDAY)...
All terminals will be VFR through the upcoming TAF period. Winds
will become light and variable within the next hour or two and
continue overnight. Winds will become southeasterly at 5-10 kts by
late morning. There is a less than 20% chance of showers or
thunderstorms during the afternoon in the Austin and San Antonio
areas.
